About Runewend
Runewend is an independent fantasy multiplayer role-playing project inspired by classic online games. It is not an official service, authorized continuation, or product endorsed by another game developer or publisher. Contact the Runewend team at [email protected] about these terms.
Our development vision
Our intention is to develop an increasingly distinct branch of classic fantasy role-playing experiences, with original worlds and locations, characters, NPCs, stories, item appearances, and custom systems throughout the game. These are development intentions, not promises that particular content is currently available or will launch on a particular date.
Intellectual property
We respect the rights of other creators and do not intend to infringe them. We claim rights only in material we own or are entitled to use. Inspiration, modification, or the age of an asset does not establish permission to reproduce or distribute it. Nothing on this page grants a license to third-party material or represents that all asset rights have been independently verified.
Rights concerns
Send rights concerns to [email protected] with the work concerned, the affected page or material, the basis of your rights, and a way to contact you. We will review the concern and may restrict or remove affected material while it is assessed. This contact process is not a claim of statutory safe-harbor protection.
Accounts and eligibility
Use the service only where you are legally eligible. If local law requires parental or guardian permission, obtain it before using the service or making a purchase. Protect your password and verification links. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Contact support promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
Player conduct
Do not harass, threaten, scam, impersonate others, spam, access accounts without authorization, exploit vulnerabilities, or distribute unlawful content. Report security issues privately. We may investigate abuse and restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect players and the service. You may contact support to request review of a restriction.
Worlds and development
Free and Members share character progression, skills, bank, and inventory. Log out before switching worlds. Beta keeps separate test progression that may be reset. Content, balance, and availability may change during development. Grand Exchange trading is paused; direct player trading is available.
Membership and contributions
Membership grants Members-world access: USD 5 monthly or USD 96 once for lifetime membership, with applicable charges disclosed at checkout. Monthly subscriptions renew until canceled through My Account. Lifetime means the operating life of Runewend, not an individual’s lifetime or a promise of permanent operation. Voluntary contributions grant no gameplay advantages and are not represented as tax-deductible charitable gifts.
Cancellation and billing
Manage subscriptions through My Account. Canceling renewal does not itself delete your account or payment records. Paid-through access follows the checkout terms and applicable law. Contact [email protected] for billing errors or refund requests. Nothing here removes mandatory refund, withdrawal, or other consumer rights.
Email launch offer
The first 100 eligible accounts to complete email verification receive lifetime Members access, limited to one reward per account and normalized email address. Requests do not reserve a place. Removing your email or withdrawing marketing consent does not remove an earned reward.
Availability and responsibility
Maintenance, bugs, outages, and data loss can occur. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, permanent availability of features, or a fixed development schedule. Any limitation of warranties or responsibility applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Applicable law and updates
Applicable law and mandatory consumer protections continue to apply. These terms do not designate an unverified country of incorporation or an exclusive court. Material changes will be dated and communicated appropriately, including additional notice or agreement where required.
